Tony Stewart Racing
While holding the dual-role of driver and team owner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is a new challenge for Tony, he’s already shown that he can take care of business as a team owner in both the United States Auto Club (USAC) and World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series. His team, Tony Stewart Racing (TSR), fields one entry in the USAC Sprint Car division, one entry in the USAC Silver Crown Series division and two entries in the WoO Sprint Car Series while fielding an additional Sprint Car for Stewart when his schedule allows him to race on dirt.
In USAC, TSR fields the No. 20 Chevrolet Performance Parts Sprint Car for defending USAC National Sprint Series Champion, Bryan Clauson. Additionally, Bobby East drives the No. 10 Chevrolet Performance Parts Silver Crown Car. TSR drivers have combined to win the last three Silver Crown Championships (Levi Jones (retired): 2010 & 2011; East: 2012).
In WoO, TSR fields the No. 15 STP / Armor All sprint car for five-time champion Donny Schatz and the No. 11 Bad Boy Buggies / J.D. Byrider sprint car for twenty-time series champion Steve Kinser.
Since its formation, TSR has earned seventeen driver championships (sixteen owner championships), the most recent of which was East’s USAC Silver Crown car championship and Schatz’s World of Outlaw championship, both of which were claimed in the fall of 2012.
